Victor Reese 22 June 12, EC019 Male 5'11" & 147lbs. Martian Alliance MS Pilot | Character Image Personality Victor is a person who wants to understand the situation, if there is a solution then there is a way to avoid needless efforts. As a child he was always like this, often breaking up fights to keep friends and bullies with non-violent endings and ideas. When the had begun, Victor tried to figure out the reasons for both sides going into an armed conflict with each other, it was difficult but the only thing he could think of was, two old guys were arguing over something. He was kind of right to a point but the end result of the Uprising is was caused Victor to change. After Sara was injured in the conflict, he had animosity towards both the Earth Union for the unnecessary nuclear missile and the now Martian Alliance for their failure to realize the situation as it was. He is always calm and collected on the outside though, showing everyone the benefit of the doubt but never really trusting anyone fully for he fears one day, everyone will just betray him. Background Victor was born on the Shadow City settlement of Mars about three months following his mothers Immigration to the Mars Settlements. With better opportunities for work and financial support, the single mother managed to create a household in which Victor could be proud of as he grew up. They were alone for a while though, work was heavy and time was very scarce for the tow to spend together, but Victor grew up with the best of intentions as he learned the value in making friends who could support him in times of great stress. When the Martian Civil Uprising broke out, the young boy was unable to understand the concept of war based conflicts, these things felt unnecessary and though it was unintentional, he wanted to fight for the Earth Union out of pure morality. The situation was so serious that school was difficult to focus on and the fear of being killed in the fighting that broke out was becoming more intense with each passing month. On the eve of Nomad's nuclear destruction, Victor has seen his mother, Sara, just a week before she left for the colony on an assignment for work. There was little doubt she would be fine but then it happened, the Nuclear Warhead detonated and the colony collapsed. With heavy fears that Sara had perished in the incident, he later learns that she had escaped on the only transport ship that managed to even leave the colony but with injuries to her right arm and the damage to her right lower leg, she could no longer work. The times were difficult and sentiments towards the Earth Union changed from moral alignment to pure hate of the very government that ruled it. When the Angels Security Administration secretly began to recruit individuals for the Martian Alliance's Military build up, Victor had just graduated from high school when he was approached. In order to avoid going to serious debts and sinking into a poverty, he was offered the chance to receive financial assistance and full military pay for his enlistment to help fight the Earth Union. Sent to Everest City where the training began, Victor learned what it truly meant to be worked to the bone and though he was never as good as the rest, the young man graduated the training program only to become a Mobile Worker pilot for the CS-MPO2 Mobius. The Martian Alliance had plenty of them at the time and though Mobile Suits became part of the military's normal operations, he didn't switch the piloting programs he was a part of until the Interplanetary War had begun. Mobile Suits were a different way to fight of course, with different movement patterns and possible equipment, there was much to learn. Victor was able to learn the controls and became a well capable pilot, but his own capability wasn't as skillful as the rest. When he was finally deployed during the war, it was mostly skirmishes and border engagements but he did get to see the Battle at Nerina 2 which saw the colony become neutral. Although fighting against the Unions mobile suits and space fleets proved difficult, Victor became a decent pilot, but during the Fallen December incident on Everest City, he is nearly shot down but survives the battle with a narrow victory. |
